Lisa Honka, Founder, President, Senior Living Advisor
Your Key To Senior Living Options was started with one goal in mind: to help find great homes for seniors in The Villages and across Central FL.
Founder Lisa Honka brings a wealth of hands-on expertise. With over 10 years of experience in the Assisted Living industry as the Director of Sales and Marketing and as a community liaison, Lisa realized her passion and dedication would be best utilized in educating families about the resources available to them. But by working for just one community, her effectiveness was limited by not being able to offer truly objective options for each senior’s unique needs. She was thereby inspired to launch Your Key To Senior Living Options.
“I was working with a family in crisis who was looking for assisted living for her mother. I discovered my compassionate approach really helped the daughter handle the complicated issues and emotions of the task ahead of her, and helped their mother feel good about this next chapter in her life. I knew right then that I would launch this business,” Lisa says.
We help you ask the questions you didn’t know to ask and get the answers you didn’t know you needed.
We are a unique resource for seniors and their families who trust us to help them find the right supportive living community. Making an informed decision for such an important choice takes time and industry knowledge that many families don’t have. As The Villages Senior Living experts, our team is uniquely qualified to help. We have over 75 years of combined experience working with hundreds of seniors and their families.
We understand how difficult the transition from your own home to a senior living community can be. That’s why our team is dedicated to taking the stress out of the situation by narrowing down the choices of communities to ones that truly meet your unique needs.
Not all communities offer the same care levels, dining options, and amenities. It is important that you have an experienced guide who can simplify the process and keep you focused on what is really important in choosing a new community.
We have helped hundreds of families with this transition and it would be an honor to help your family.

Patricia Stevens, MSW, Senior Living Advisor
I was born and raised in Florida and earned my Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, with advanced studies at Nova Southeastern University. My passion lies in senior care, specializing in the geriatric field and helping others navigate the healthcare system. I’m dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults and supporting families as they navigate the complexities of senior living.
As a Senior Living Advisor, I strive to provide thoughtful guidance and support to clients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care options. I believe in building strong, meaningful relationships within the community, treating everyone with respect and empathy, and fostering a sense of connection.
Outside of work, I embrace living life in the moment. Whether I’m experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or enjoying a spontaneous hike in nature, I find joy in simple pleasures. I love spending time with my family and volunteering with local organizations that uplift seniors, as these experiences help me forge deeper connections with others.
And here’s a little fun fact about me: I’m known for my playful spirit—often turning ordinary outings into mini-adventures. Whether it’s a silly dance in the kitchen or a lighthearted moment with friends, I believe laughter is the best way to brighten the day. I’m excited to be part of this dedicated team and look forward to making a positive impact in our community.

Lauri Pound – Administrative Assistant
With 26 years of hospitality service, I am honored to be a part of Your Key to Senior Living Options. Our company works tirelessly to provide the solutions to questions for those growing older. I am so proud to be a part of the team who can help you find answers to issues pertaining to legal, financial, medical, or other concerns.
My parents always saw the caretaker attributes in my life, far earlier than I saw them myself. I volunteered at an animal hospital on the weekends when I was in 4th and 5th grade, just for the opportunity to care for struggling pets. In later years, as a young mother, I was challenged to care for my 18-month-old son, whose accident rendered him lifeless. And, although the doctors diagnosed his recovery with no optimism, my entire family did not give up. With determination, prayer, love, and commitment we all watched a few years ago as he walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma. I learned the humble and valuable lesson of perseverance. It has never left me.
By far, my position here ranks as the most rewarding employment of my life, because it represents an opportunity to collaborate with people who seek answers to life’s complex questions as they grow older. The vision of our company has created a caring team eager to help.
