“…Lisa and her team know the area, knows the services…”
Your Key to Senior Living Options is a great resource for seniors and their families. Navigating through all the choices that need to be made and knowing the right questions to ask, at a time when making such a life change can be difficult and confusing. Lisa and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and well versed and can provide the much-needed information to families while making a choice of where they will live. Lisa knows the area, knows the services, and is well known in the community and supports that community in every way that she can!

“…I wouldn’t have known how to handle on my own…”
I am sorry it has taken so long for me to sit down to express my gratitude for all of your help and support in the most trying time of my life. After returning from Florida, I had to quarantine for 14 days, and then get myself back to work. I would never have been able to navigate the assisted living process without you. I appreciate that you were there for me when I encountered problems that I wouldn’t have known how to handle on my own. You jumped in and made calls to people who otherwise would not have taken my calls. Most importantly, thank you for your emotional support and advice while I was going through this process alone, and from a distance. I should be thanking Buffallo Crossing for connecting me with you because otherwise I would not have had such a special person in my corner.
~Dawn Sullivan
“…I couldn’t have done it without you…”
“…She still checks in with me to see how things are going…”
After four years of caregiving, I finally reached the point where I could no longer care for my wife with Alzheimer’s disease because the demands were too great. I reluctantly decided that a memory care facility would provide a safe environment and the care she needed. With over 25 facilities in this area, I didn’t know where to turn but luckily saw the name Josephine Cirrinone of Senior Living Options on this site. Josephine sat down with me for hours and discussed what I was looking for in a facility and my wife’s interests. She then recommended three facilities for us to visit where we both could ask questions. I luckily hit on the third and couldn’t be happier. She still checks in with me to see how things are going and was always available to answer all my questions. She can be reached at 352-973-2729 and her fee is free.

“…I don’t ever remember seeing my mom so happy…”
Lisa, I think of you often and hope you are doing well. Just wanted you to know that I don’t ever remember seeing my mom so happy. What a great move it was for her to go to American House. She has made many friends, loves all the activities and the food. The staff is all very kind. No complaints, just gratitude for you.

“… the guardian angel that helped us navigate a very difficult time…”
About this time last year, our lives turned a bit insane. You stepped in as our guardian angel, and you were able to navigate us through a very difficult time. We will recall 2018 as a very emotional and difficult year for the loss of John’s Mom and Sis, but having you help us was a Godsend that we will never forget. I’ve given your name out twice this year to friends of friends who knew that we had “someone” assist us. I put together a file with your card on the top that says “Call this number 1st, before you do anything else”.
~ Jay Dee and John
“…we so appreciate the time you’ve taken to help us…”
John joins me in expressing our gratitude for the time and helpfulness you’ve been showing us as we process decisions about senior living options. We appreciate your caring concern and kindness, thankfulness and expertise with us, the time you’ve given us and the patience with us. We so appreciate the time you’ve taken to help us. Love and gratitude to you!

“…makes it her mission to ensure Seniors live their remaining life happy and comfortable…”
It was with great pleasure to meet Lisa Honka, Senior Specialist. What makes my situation rather uncommon was the fact that I stumbled upon Lisa through a friend who lives in Florida; I live in Maryland. I called Lisa on a Friday and my Mother was placed in her new living quarters on the following Thursday. I had been looking for a place for my mom to move to for about 7 months, in which time mom has shuffled around to 4 different places. Finding a place for my mother was rather difficult not knowing of places in Florida for mom to move into. I called Assisted Living communities and was told there was a long waiting list; I called other places and they evaluated mom and said she wasn’t strong enough to reside in their community. This went on for 7 months without any satisfaction and was becoming very stressful. Mom was living at a rehabilitation facility sharing a room with another lady, not the optimal living situation. I contacted Lisa that same day, we discussed my mom’s situation and she sprang into action. The next day she called me and gave me information on a couple of Assisted Living Communities; I chose one and she got the ball rolling. Mom was assessed by a nurse and Lisa and moved into her Assisted Living Studio in less than a week. The “Community” mom was placed in is better than I could have ever imagined, they are caring and friendly. The caregivers got her out playing cards that very same day, then, on to a concert. Lisa took a picture of my mom winning a card game and mom was smiling and happy. She is also eating! She loves the food and is now eating again.
Lisa goes above and beyond (I have called her my Angel). She made an arrangement for my mother to move into her new Studio apartment, she went to mom’s house and transferred some of mom’s belongings she thought were important to mom, i.e., pictures of mom and dad, pictures of me when I was a little girl, paintings mom painted years ago, crosses on the wall, and more.
Lisa has taken it upon herself to do some small necessity shopping for me, keeping in mind I live 800 miles away from Florida. Lisa makes it her mission to ensure Seniors live their remaining life happy and comfortable.

“…this is not a job to her, this is her passion…”
Lisa is the most personable person I know – she provides compassion and empathy to all of the families that she works with; to Lisa, it is never about ‘just placing your loved one’ … it is so much more than that! She really gets to know your loved one and the families, and finds the exact best fit for your loved one! This is not a job to her; this is her passion! No matter the situation, Lisa works to find the right solution! Thank you, Lisa, for all that you do!

“….thank you so very, very much…”
Every time I come in or go out, I admire the beautiful wreath on the front door – and as I sit here writing it runs through my mind the help you gave us in finding Sumter Place. Thank you so very very much. It’s sad to think Pam and Flip will be leaving at the end of the week. I could never have done all they have done for me by myself. I’ll miss them so very much. If you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by to say hello. I’d be delighted to see you.
~ Bobbie Mullines
“…assistance, guidance and above and beyond service…”
I can’t thank you and Bonnie enough for your assistance, guidance and above and beyond service in mom’s placement at Hampton Manor. You have my eternal gratitude and a promise to send other contacts your way.
~ Gail
“…thanks for your kindness, willingness to help and your professionalism…”
Lisa, Your understanding is GREATLY APPRECIATED. At the moment I need to focus on my own health and renewal of my mind, body, and spirit. Then all else is much more manageable. Thankfully Allen is able to still make certain decisions and fully understands the necessity of doing so while he’s able. Without a doubt, I will go look around again with you. Thank you for the reminder of respite care which is invaluable. Again my thanks for your kindness, willingness to help and your professionalism.
~ Ellen
“…A huge assess for our residents and their family members…”
Lisa has been a huge asset for our residents and their family members. When I have someone who needs assistance finding a community Lisa goes out of her way to understand their personal situation and what is important to them and then helps to facilitate tours and the move-in process. Your Key To Senior Living Options is a great way for people to narrow their search process by using someone who knows each community and what they have to offer. So instead of wasting time touring 10 or more communities, Lisa can help direct you to the top ones that meet your specifications, price range, and assistance level. Every time I’ve called Lisa to help assist a family or resident with the search process she wastes no time and reduces the energy our family members would otherwise be spending looking for the right fit. For those residents whose families live out of town Lisa has been heaven sent.

“…first in line to sing your praises…”
I wanted to let you know that Jan died yesterday afternoon. We are sad but relieved as well. When Nancy died in January, we saw a very steady decline in Jan. It was just too much for Jan to overcome when she lost her daughter and her companion of so many years. We must thank you again for coming into our lives when you did. There must have been a reason we were at that presentation at Mission Oaks. That group of folks is all professionals. For the last two months, we’ve also had Cornerstone Hospice helping with Jan’s care. Their team was a Godsend for us. If you ever need us to write or talk about your Senior Living services, just holler. We will be first in line to sing your praises. God Bless you.
~ Jay Dee and John
“…your checklist was invaluable…”
Thank you so much for the time you took to discuss with me the best ways to evaluate assisted living facilities. This was back in December, and it’s been a hectic six months. My mother settled into Morgan Estates in New York. She is thriving there and is even having improvements to her health. Your checklist was invaluable in asking the right questions. Thanks so much for your help!
~ Pat Harrington
Thank you for a wonderful talk at our Tri UU forum yesterday. Your wealth of information was of great assistance to our members. We could have gone on far longer if it were not for time limits. Your generous gift of goodie bags hit the spot and was appreciated. I will get back to you after the holidays for lunch and a further conversation. We wish you and your company great success in the future.

“…honest and trustworthy…”
My responsibilities as a Community Educator for the AFO Alzheimer’s Family Organization brings me in touch with many seniors in need. The most common question I get is “when do we know it is time to consider help, assistance, or placement for a loved one”. Having worked with “Your Key To Senior Living Options” I have found them to be honest, trustworthy and PATD… pay attention to details that we don’t always think about. There are many options out there. Lisa and Bonnie work hard to make sure right decisions are made, right placement is completed and that individuals and family are happy with the outcome. This decision is one of the hardest you will ever have to make. Why not use the expertise of those who can help you feel at peace, eliminate your fears and walk you through the process.
~ Jackie Kuhn-Damron, Alzheimer’s Family Organization (AFO)
Lisa’s services are personal, comprehensive and thorough and of the highest quality. I recommend her without hesitation.
